Developer-first trackers

Fast, opinionated trackers favoured by product and engineering teams. By 2026 they ship an official remote MCP server, read-only access options and their own agent features.

Where they are stronger today:

  • speed and polish of the interface;
  • keyboard-driven use;
  • a large user base;
  • native integrations with code hosts and chat tools.

Where Quasar differs:

  • Opinions encoded in the workflow. Quasar's workflow conditions can block a move on evidence: sections filled in, a plan verified against the files it examined, the code's position in the repository, time logged.
  • Safety for automation. An idempotency key on every write, versions on every entity, read-only keys enforced by the database, and an agent mark on every change.
  • Beyond engineering. Money and delivery are first-class: work logs at the rate in effect, per-project currency, quotes, and documentation releases.
  • Self-hosting of the same product, where these tools are typically cloud-only.
