Established enterprise trackers

The long-standing trackers used by large organizations, with large marketplaces of extensions.

Where they are stronger today:

  • maturity and scale;
  • integrations with almost everything;
  • mobile apps;
  • many interface languages;
  • enterprise compliance programmes;
  • migration paths from everything else.

By 2026 they also offer:

  • official, hosted MCP servers;
  • their own AI agents working inside the tracker;
  • semantic search across their products.

Where Quasar differs:

  • Access is not policy. Their MCP servers give an agent access to the tracker. The policy about what the agent must prove before work moves on is left to configuration and to people. In Quasar it is part of the workflow: a verified plan, code observed in the repository, measured time.
  • Hosting. Their official MCP servers are typically cloud-only and hosted by the vendor. Quasar's MCP server is part of the product, hosted or self-hosted alike.
  • Client delivery is a separate product or an extension there: quotes, revision-bound acceptance, documentation releases. In Quasar it is built in.
  • Shape. Quasar is deliberately narrower: no marketplace, fewer integrations, and an interface in English only.
