What is already settled

• Two ways to run it. Quasar is offered as a hosted service and for self-hosting. Both are the same product, and the choice is a matter of configuration, not edition. See Deployment, tenancy and security.
• Features are not hidden behind configuration today. Every capability described in this guide is available in every installation of version 2026.10.15. Quasar has a mechanism to make features depend on a plan or a licence, and the plans that will use it are part of what is being defined.
• Your data stays yours. Every person can export their own data, and a whole organization can be exported in full. See Deployment, tenancy and security.
• The hosted service runs in the European Union, on Amazon Web Services in Ireland.
