The short version

By late 2026, connecting an AI agent to a project tracker is no longer rare. Most established trackers offer an official MCP server, and the code-hosting platforms let you assign an issue directly to their own coding agent. Quasar does not compete on "agents can reach it". It competes on what happens when they do:

  • Evidence over trust. The workflow can refuse to move an issue until the agent has recorded a verified plan, until its code has actually reached a branch, or until its time is logged. Quasar reads these facts itself; it does not take the agent's word.
  • Accountability by construction. Every change carries who made it and whether an agent did, without anyone declaring it. An agent's working time is measured by Quasar's clock and becomes a cost only when a person confirms it.
  • Safe automation. Every write can be retried without duplicating, every concurrent edit is detected, and every refusal explains the rule that refused it, in terms an agent can act on.
  • From plan to client in one tool. Quotes priced from the work, documents accepted on an exact revision, documentation released as frozen versions in four formats, and public guides that people and AI assistants can read.
  • The same product hosted or on your servers.
